We got the two flavor fried chicken and it was amazing! Love the white radish refills too!
Love coming here for Korean fried chicken and Jokbal! Be forewarned, the Jokbal portion is huge. They've been around for years so if you are craving for chicken and beer, this is way better than the other Korean fried chicken restaurants in the area. They get busy with takeout orders but the food is worth the wait.
A restaurant that sells old-fashioned style korean fried chicken. It's a small hole in the wall, and quite unassuming. It's located right off northern near the Broadway Lirr and has maybe 5 -7 tables. They sell wings, whole chickens and a variety of fried foods. I've only ever had their take out and delivery, but both times it's been fantastic!
We originally chose this place because I was seriously craving jokbal, but unfortunately, they were out. We ended up ordering their half soy chicken and half bbq chicken. Seriously, SO much chicken for the price. The soy chicken was our favorite of the two. The bbq chicken was too saucy for us, and I don't know why I was so surprised that it tasted like actual bbq sauce LOL. Overall, solid KFC with generous portions.
Hole in the wall KFC? Cheaper than your typical chain fried chicken for a banging flavor. Pretty sure the two sauce option for 24 pieces ended up being a whole chicken including some parts de-boned. The honey bbq and spicy flavor was delicious, curious to try their soy based next time. Service is once you order, it's made fresh so it's worth the wait! Grab a beer on tap or a bottle of soju to enjoy with some friends.
Korean fried chicken is so good I love the traditional fried chicken cus it's just fried and I love that they cut it for you so it's a little easier to eat. There are dry parts cus it's cus there are drier parts to a chicken... Love how light and crispy it was Didn't eat it until a few hours later but still so good. When you take it home you can put it in the air fryer for a bit and it's perfect Will def have to eat it fresh next time cus it's always better fresh but still good even when you eat it hours later I wanted to try the jokbal but it wasn't ready Place seems so busy but it's cus it's good Korean fried chicken!
5 stars for the chicken, 3.5 stars for the appetizers. This is a small, nondescript Korean fried chicken place near a LIRR station in deep Flushing. My friend and I had the fried chicken with soy and garlic glaze (whole chicken cut into pieces), tteokbokki, and fried vegetables. Water is self serve. The tteokbokki was on the bland side. Definitely needed more spice. I expected the fried vegetables to be more like tempura but it was more like pakora. Decent but not great. The chicken comes with pickled radishes and a cabbage slaw. Both were good. The fried chicken was delicious! It was made to order so it was fresh and so crispy! The soy garlic flavor was scrumptious. I highly recommend getting a whole chicken instead of just wings and drumsticks. I enjoyed the body pieces more than the wings and drum pieces. They were crisper and reheats well in the microwave. One order was enough for 4 servings.
Loved this spot. It's quiet, small calm spot. The staff is friendly and doesn't bother you. The fried chicken really is the star. It's made to order, so you will wait about 20 mins for it. WORTH THE WAIT. It's juicy, crunchy, delicious, not overwhelming amount of sauce. That paired with soju is a fun night for rambling. Hahaha. I'll be back very soon.
Been to mad for chicken, pelicana, Sodam...just all the Korean restaurants and their style of fried chicken. Say goodbye to all of them because THIS is THE spot for fried chicken. My husband and I both agree that this has become our favorite fried chicken spot. It's under a bridge and from the outside, the restaurant doesn't look that appealing....but all that changes once you try their stuff. We have been trying so hard to get their Jokbal but every time we plan on getting some, they're sold out. ;( I'm sure it won't disappoint. They also sell some fried apps and tteokbokki--the tteokbokki is a hit or miss but it always compliments well with fried chicken.
I've heard some good things about this place, so it's been on my bucket list of places to go while I'm Flushing. It's a bit of a whole in the wall place, but they make great chicken. Dropped by and ordered the wings. The sauce was a bit strong, but the wings were fantastic. Fresh, made to order, and juicy. I believe I tried the sweet and spicy sauce. It tasted like a general tso sauce. I didn't like the sauce that much. I'm interested to try some of the other options on the menu. They look to have an old style chicken that looks interesting. I may also try a different flavor next time.
